About Articular Engineering

Overview

 Articular Engineering, LLC is an Illinois based biotech company committed to the advancement of current treatment options for articular cartilage and intervertebral disc disorders. In 1999 Articular Engineering opened with cell-based and tissue modifying core technologies targeting articular cartilage and intervertebral disc repair and regeneration. These technologies currently in development have resulted in numerous patents. Building on core strengths and knowledge of the field, in 2002 Articular Engineering began providing custom orthopedic tissues and cultures to researchers. Today Articular Engineering provides joint and spine tissues and cultures to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries worldwide. 

Customizable Products

 Articular Engineering understands the need for custom tissues and cultures, ready to use and able to meet very specific protocols. For this reason Articular Engineering specializes in customizable cell cultures and tissue products. All tissues and cells are freshly isolated and phenotypically stable. Tissues include intervertebral disc, cartilage, bone, synovial tissue and synovial fluid. Most other tissues are available upon request. Tissues can be shipped whole, fresh or frozen, cultured as explants or prepared with additives for histology, RNA, DNA or protein extraction. Freshly isolated cells can be plated in monolayer or alginate bead culture or used for tissue engineering. Plate formats, seeding density, media, and culture additives can be prepared to meet most specifications.

  • Regarding tissues and cells, Articular Engineering does not guarentee any specific experimental outcome, expression of protein, gene,  or similar. 
  • Claims for refunds or replacements must be made within 1 month of receipt of goods and documented with laboratory records, pictures and explaination.  Articular Engineering will NOT COVER SHIPPNG costs on replacement items.
  • In order to receive replacement cells, researcher must use Articular Engineering Growth media. Cells must be cultured as directed for a minimum of 1 week.
